About us
Norwood Christian Church was established in the mid 1980’s under the direction of Don Woodstock. The Woodstocks moved to Norwood in the early 1970’s to establish a Christian Boys Ranch. Since there was no Christian Church in Norwood, they began meeting together as a family and began inviting locals to join them.
We originally met on the Christian Boys Ranch grounds west of Norwood. In the ‘80’s we formalized ourselves and formed the Norwood Christian Church and moved to our present location in Norwood. We are an independent Christian Church led from within the congregation itself. As part of the brotherhood of Christian Churches/Churches of Christ we are part of the Restoration Movement within Christ’s Church, which for two centuries has pleaded for the unity of all God’s people as one body.
